Advice on British Shows?

So I signed up for the British TV Technical Challenge that

marcasite is holding, but I haven't seen a whole lot of any of the shows, except Sherlock and the first season of Merlin. Recommendations on which show to start watching?

I was a bit on the fence and I was about to mark Misfits but I marked Luther instead. Idris Elba is awesome, the characters are just amazing, spacially Alice and Luther himself. It's also a very interesting show and after watching Misfits, that is also very good, I'd go with Luther, I really don't know why exactly but I loved it.
